Life getting in the way of my hobby blog
So much to blog about, so little time. I could blog about the ongoing media blackout of Ron Paul, which I predict will be a huge story in a few months (but other bloggers have got it covered). Or I could talk about the interesting books I’ve read recently (but that would take way too much effort). Or rant about the shortcomings of evidence-based medicine (but then I’d probably get involved in a debate friendly discussion with Citizen Deux).
Or I could simply point y’all to my business blog in case you have nothing else to read…

Nice work on the TF blog. You’ve clearly got a depth of knowledge many marketeers I have met lack.
Debate? You say that like it’s a bad thing.
PS - I’ll take any wager you would care to make on the Paul issue…
Thanks, CD! Marketing has a bad reputation for good reason. Especially Internet Marketing.
Debate. Debate is good! I just don’t have the time or energy to do it
Sounding off and giving opinions is much easier.
Ron Paul wagers:
1. I bet that eventually more Americans will find out how the media did their best to blot out Ron Paul, and they will be hopping mad. And there will be a huge backlash.
2. I bet that Obama will be the next president. Sigh.
I bet there is no media plot to block out Ron Paul. I bet in six months no one will recall his compaign (remember [or not] John Anderson, Ross Perot, John Edwards et al.).
I listened to Paul speak in Washington state courtesy of the C-SPAN like POTUS 08 on XM 130. I would hardly call that being ignored.
You are in marketing. Would you promote a product with a 4 market share or a 30 market share?
PS - If Obama is the next president, I wouldn’t mind.
We definitely have different perceptions about the coverage of Ron Paul! Look how long it took for him to get the coverage he is getting now. I’m still betting this will be a big, big story. You might be right, though — people have short memories and “more important things” to think about.
Marketing the presidency — exactly what the media is doing! They shouldn’t be. The disproportionate media coverage is one of the biggest reasons he has (so it seems) low market share.
I’ll be taking a closer look at Obama to see what may be coming down the pike for this country. For example, I don’t know how he plans to solve the problems he talks about in his commercials (lack of health insurance, low wages, etc.).
So, let’s put some beef on the bet!
Six months from now, we’ll see where the public is with Ron Paul and if there’s a discernible backlash beginning.
If you’re right, I will put a button on my blog that says, CD WAS RIGHT! LANA WAS WRONG!
Or whatever you want the button to say.
If I’m right, you’ll put a button on your blog that says, LANA WAS RIGHT! CD WAS WRONG!
Any other ideas?
You’re on…
Okay! I’m making my button right now…
